Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Position offered by ResMed Digital Health Inc. - 100% remote reporting to San Diego, CA

Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to the delivery of technically complex customer-facing products involving cloud technology.
2. Design, develop, implement, and deploy web and mobile applications, web services, and enterprise solutions using various technologies and platforms.
3. Build reliable and scalable web and mobile applications.
4. Define system architectures and explore technical feasibility tradeoffs.
5. Develop cloud software services with an understanding of scalability, performance, and reliability.
6. Collaborate daily with a small team of software developers.
7. Assist with project estimation, planning, progress, and bug tracking.
8. Create task breakdowns based on user stories.
9. Write clear, well-commented, and understandable code.
10. Create and review design specifications.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• 8 years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Extensive experience with Java, including backend server technology, REST APIs, and Android platform.
• Experience in designing and developing multi-tiered business applications.
• Proficiency with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Experience with system architecture design, cloud services, serverless (AWS Lambda), and container-based architectures (Docker).
• Knowledge of secure, scalable software development for large user bases.
• Object-oriented design and programming skills.
• Experience working within Agile development processes.
• Familiarity with Git, message brokering architectures, and data streaming.
