KBR is seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst to support NASA's Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS) Evolution and Development 3 (EED-3) contract. KBR is a subcontractor on RTX's EED-3 team to provide Earth scientists and others access to data from NASA's Earth Science missions.As a member of the EED-3 team, you will work in a fast-paced Agile environment that ensures the accurate and timely design, development, and deployment of products and services that allows the large collection of NASA earth science data to be more discoverable by the end user community As a member of the EED-3 team you will ensure adherence to operational agreements and polices, compliance to program and NASA standards and requirements, leveraging of industry best practices for automation and scalability of assets, and implementation of issue detection and alerts. The Senior Software Engineer (Data Analytics) is a key development team member supporting the evolution and sustainment of data analytics services for EED enterprise systems and supporting infrastructure. In this role, the Senior Software Engineer (Data Analytics) will support the collection, curation, visualization, and automated reporting of information and insights across a suite of data analytics platforms spanning cloud hosted services (Cloud Metrics) and end-user community engagement (Google Analytics). Must be US Citizen or a Permanent Resident. *** Primary Responsibilities Design, development, evolution, and sustainment of data analytics infrastructures including AWS Athena/S3, Elasticsearch, and Google Analytics Implementing and refining data pipelines for the extract, transform, and load (ETL) of new data streams Support data management activities including retention, curation, catalog management, and schema development or extensions with focus on data management automation wherever practical. Preparing data visualizations and reporting for both internal application development teams and program leadership via Kibana, AWS QuickSight, Google Analytics 4. Desired Skills/Experience Experience with Elasticsearch data cluster sustainment and visualization via Kibana Experience with tracking and reporting application usage metrics via Google Analytics in an enterprise setting Experience providing operational support, including monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing bugfixes. Experience providing responsive customer support via a service desk. Track record of maintaining positive user and customer relationships. Familiarity with data analytics techniques (statistical analysis and/or AI/ML) Required Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline 6+ years of experience in an engineering role related to data analytics. Basic Compensation $122,500.00 - $183,800.00 The offered rate will be based on contract affordability and the selected candidate's working location, knowledge, skills, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
