Job Description: Our client, a leading aerospace and defense contractor known for pioneering work on cutting-edge spaceflight systems, is seeking a Software Engineer to support a long-term project on their Electrical Ground Support Equipment Software team.

Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will develop software engineering solutions for Orion's Electrical Ground Support Equipment Software team.

Required Skills:

Expertise in C++ Strong experience working with Linux Knowledge of Telemetry systems and processing Expertise with anomaly investigation and resolution Ability to apply logical thinking and creative problem-solving to develop, enhance, or troubleshoot software Willingness for off-hours support to ensure lab productivity Ability to contribute within a team-oriented environment to achieve long-range goals and objectives Solid written or verbal communication skills Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

Desired Skills:

Background in satellite operations Knowledgeable in Voice communication and Network communication Knowledgeable in Java, Python, and bash/csh Knowledgeable in Big Data Knowledgeable in OS/Comet Experience with Agile and DevOps processes Ability to assist users and lab managers with data analysis
