Senior Software Engineer, Product SecuritySenior Software Engineer, Product Security12 hours ago Be among the first 25 applicantsAs a Senior Software Engineer, Product Security, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our internal and external partners to ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data. You will be a trusted advisor, working closely with various teams to identify security risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive security features in products Reddit delivers. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and exceptional communication skills. Responsibilities include software engineering tasks such as peer programming related to security and privacy components, conducting security architecture reviews, providing technical guidance on security requirements, and acting as a liaison between infrastructure and development teams. Partnership management involves developing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, acting as a primary contact for security inquiries, and facilitating communication. Security risk assessment and mitigation include conducting threat modeling, identifying vulnerabilities, recommending and implementing mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with security standards. The role also involves promoting security awareness and training, participating in incident response activities, and conducting post-incident reviews. Qualifications include deep experience with Golang, familiarity with DevOps, a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years in security partnerships or related roles, strong understanding of security principles and standards, experience with threat modeling and risk mitigation, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of cloud security and infrastructure components. Preferred qualifications include experience with security automation, software engineering in production, and mobile security.
