Senior Software Engineer - Oculus Studios Central Technology Team

Summary : Oculus Studios Central Technology is a key team within Oculus Studios focused on enhancing shared technologies and supporting First Party Oculus Studios such as Armature Studios, Beat Games, BigBox VR, Camouflaj, Sanzaru Games, Twisted Pixel, Supernatural, and OURO in their content creation efforts. We are seeking passionate engineers eager to collaborate with Oculus Studios to craft immersive experiences. Responsibilities : Collaborate closely with the Oculus Studios Technical Director to set priorities and technology objectives for multi-year projects. Implement reliable systems in a dynamic development environment that our first-party developers can depend on. Build and maintain relationships with Oculus partners, acting as a technical liaison for developer integration with other teams. Work across various development environments, including C++, C#, Python, Hack, JavaScript, Unity, Unreal Engine, Visual Studio, and Rider. Promote technical learning within Oculus Studios through documentation, demo materials, code examples, and advocacy. Minimum Qualifications : 8+ years of experience in adopting new approaches, coding languages, and Meta-specific solutions. At least 5 years of experience in immersive media or game development. 5+ years of development experience using Unreal, Unity, or native engines. Expertise in C / C++ / C# programming within the realm of 3D entertainment or games. Deep understanding of game development and enterprise-scale infrastructure. Proven ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to realize products. Preferred Qualifications : Experience as a Full-Stack developer in large-scale distributed environments. Over 8 years developing and maintaining gaming and enterprise infrastructure. Experience with cloud services such as AWS and Azure. Track record of shipping AAA titles or large enterprise solutions. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering. Experience with distributed computing platforms. Proficiency in building supportable solutions with proactive alerting, monitoring, and metrics. Experience creating user-facing tools using Hack, JavaScript, React, etc. Familiarity with frameworks like GraphQL, Graph API, and Ent Framework.
