Your Role on the Team
We are seeking an experienced software engineering specialist in computational design. You are/have:
Experienced in solving gnarly computational geometry problems
Written and applied numerical optimization methods for physics-based simulation
Enjoy deriving new mathematical results from scratch
Up-to-date on recent research in computational design
Responsibilities Develop the next generation of continuous fiber toolpathing software
Derive new mathematical formulae for design optimization algorithms
Produce and drive adoption of best practices for coding and testing
Support cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, aerospace/mechanical/civil engineering, or other related field, 8+ years related experience
Must have at least 3 years expertise developing algorithms in at least 2 of the following Computational Design
Computational Geometry
Design Optimization
Robotics
Structural Analysis
Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
Strong software development skills in C++ and Python
Desired Experience: Advanced computational geometry knowledge: Parasolid, CGM, OpenCascade, CGAL, OpenVDB, etc.
Advanced mathematics knowledge: Eigen, calculus of variations, differential geometry, etc.
Finite element analysis tools and underlying methods
Robotics path planning expertise
Additive manufacturing, broadly
Experienced with git
Relevant Masters or PhD
