The Orchestration team is a high-impact team focused on building the next generation of our order orchestration system. We collaborate with Bookings, Payments, and Trust teams and cross-functional partners to improve the efficiency, reliability, and ergonomics of the system. The Difference You Will Make: Architect, build, launch, and operate booking engineering systems to improve booking experience, system scalability, and performance. Design and implement complex features, focusing on data-driven decision making and performance optimizations. Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners across Bookings, Payments, and Trust to understand and prioritize technical requirements that enhance the Airbnb booking experience. Proactively grow knowledge of leading-edge practices involving workflow orchestration systems. Help define and improve coding standards, development processes, and best practices. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning. Your Expertise: 6+ years of engineering experience with a BS/Master's and 2+ years with a PhD. Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS or equivalent experience. Experience in building and scaling high-quality, high-traffic products or systems. Ability to evaluate technical approaches and design solutions to solve real-world problems. Ability to drive alignment, manage projects, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders. Your Location: This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with your manager. You must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
