Job Title The Wholesale Data Domain team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Snowflake Data Engineer. The Role This role will be instrumental in designing, building, and optimizing scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines and Snowflake-based solutions that align with our enterprise data strategy. The engineer will work closely with wholesale business unit teams and stakeholders across the organization to deliver governed, reusable data products that support advanced analytics and improve operational efficiency across wholesale business lines. Primary Responsibilities Architect and implement scalable, secure data pipelines using advanced Snowflake features. Design and implement data pipelines that support both traditional analytics and machine learning workflows. Design and implement scalable, efficient data models tailored for analytics and reporting. Define and manage data product schemas, relationships, and metadata in Snowflake. Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like dbt, Apache Airflow, Spark, or Snowpipe. Develop complex data transformation logic using SQL or Python. Lead the implementation of data governance and security frameworks. Ensure data quality and oversight by implementing profiling, lineage tracking, reconciliation, and alerting mechanisms. Collaborate with data product owners, analysts, platform teams, and other stakeholders. Contribute to FinOps and cost transparency efforts. Stay current with Snowflake innovations and advocate for adoption of new features. Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience. Six to eight years of statistical and/or data analytics experience. Preferred Skills/Experience Eight or more years of relevant data engineering experience. Two or more years of hands-on experience with Snowflake data engineering. Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Snowflake certifications (e.g., SnowPro Core or Advanced Architect). Experience with AWS and/or Azure. Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact data solutions. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small teams. Experience in regulated industries and familiarity with enterprise data governance frameworks. Location Expectations: This role is hybrid. Team members typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.
