As aSales Engineer at Lily you will drive deal strategy and execute alongside our sales team who arefocused on targeting and closing new business and expanding existing business. In the role youwill actively collaborate with team members in our customer success, product, engineering, andWe're looking for a passionate and driven self-starter to join the Lily team and we need a Pre-Sales Engineer who gets fired up to :Own the technology evaluation stage of the sales process with our prospects, from earlyproduct demonstrations to structured evaluations of the platformCreatively solve technical implementation issues in a variety of technical environmentsParticipate in webinars and industry events, demonstrating the value of our offeringHelp provide expertise for Proof of Concepts and Onboarding.We have found that the most successful Sales Engineers have strong technical aptitude, aregreat at building relationships and are interesting, confident and strategic storytellers. As a teamwe are very passionate, are thought leaders and are always ready to roll up our sleeves andexecute.In this role you will :Provide product / service advice and technical guidance to sales representatives, partners,and prospects while empathizing with their business challengesPro-actively engage with colleagues in ongoing knowledge sharing and subject mattergrowthCreate and deliver customized product demonstrations for prospects, customers, andpartners both in-person and remotelyParticipate in the completion of RFPs and / or RFIsCreate / maintain documentation for opportunities or internal processWork collaboratively across multiple departments :Customer Success to document and scope implementation servicesProduct and Engineering teams to return product feedback to inform futureproduct requirements / enhancements, and influence the product roadmapMarketing to be the face of the messaging and to provide industry feedbackRequirements :3+ years experience in a customer-facing technical role with SaaS solutions in a B2BHighly dependable, team player with high energy, positive attitude and with greatorganization and time management skillsMust possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally inwritten responses to emails, proposals, and formal RFPs.Solution selling experience in large-scale evaluations that involve multiple departmentalstakeholder interests : Marketing, Sales, E-commerce, Operations, IT and SecurityExperience positioning an application that may require a customer's change in processStrong technical aptitude for learning new technologiesExperience with E-commerce, Personalization, Retail Planning and Merchandising, or PIMsolutions is preferred but not requiredAbility and willingness for 5-10% travelAbility and willingness to travel nationally and internationallyAbility to work remotely (with a controlled office-like setup)Comfortable being self-sufficient in a highly dynamic startup environmentFamiliarity with at least some of the following systems is a prerequisiteRetail Planning and Inventory ManagementPredictive AnalyticsWeb AnalyticsE-commerce PlatformsSearch Engine Optimization and MarketingTesting, Optimization and multivariate testingCurrently, we are hiring from the following states – (candidates must be in current residence oropen to relocating) :AlabamaArizonaCaliforniaFloridaGeorgiaNew JerseyNew YorkNorth CarolinaRhode IslandTexasUtahWashingtonCompensation is competitive and will be determined based on a combination of experience, seniority,internal, external equity and location. For some context : this position in the US would pay between125,000 - $165,000 USD per year, depending on experience and seniority. In other regions,compensation will be adjusted for local currency and local market rates.
