Basic Qualifications
Education Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 15+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 13 years of job-related experience.
Clearance Requirements:
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Anti-Jam Solutions Engineer within the Land and Air Systems, Engineering Team. This position provides an opportunity to design, build and test uniquely resilient hardware and software to ensure mission success in contested environments. You will be a member of a multi-discipline team that spans many Department of Defense customers, including special restricted customers. In a collaborative environment, the team works closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

Representative Responsibilities
Experience designing, implementing, and testing anti-jam systems with spatial beamforming-beam nulling. AJ implementation of GNSS and AltNav preferred.
Knowledge of STAP, SFAP, or similar AJ algorithms. Must have experience developing a multi-channel anti jam algorithm from a mathematical perspective.
Ability to derive implementation-level requirements from system-level requirements for AJ systems.
Experience testing and debugging anti-jam antenna systems.
Signal processing background. Solid understanding of concepts like adaptive filtering, FFTs, windowing, filtering, decimation, and interpolation
Signal processing and digital signal processing (DSP) Specifically in the realm of communication theory, stochastic processes, and adaptive filtering.
What sets you apart:
Familiarity with L, S, or C band SATCOM signals.
Knowledge of communication protocols (, UART, SPI, I2C)
Automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) git pipelines
Additional Skills You May Have, Or Skills You Are Willing To Learn
Programming languages such as Rust, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, C, C++
FPGA Design, HDL (Verilog or VHDL)
Knowledge of AMD FPGA/SoC devices.
Advanced Linux operating systems knowledge (Drivers, networking, system services, etc.)
Multi-threaded and multi-core programming
Network protocols and socket programming
