The DNA Group is seeking a Senior RF Engineer with extensive experience in public safety communications and Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems. This role requires 11–15 years of RF engineering experience, including hands-on work at a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), and the ability to lead technical assessments, system design, testing, and field operations for complex wireless communication systems.
Overview Requirements:
• 11–15 years of experience as a subject matter expert in complex enterprise-level RF engineering projects.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working at a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP).
• Experience with Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems, RoIP, and wireless communications engineering.
• Proficient in designing and programming radio code plugs; validating radio/system performance.
• Experience conducting hardware/software analysis to compare system performance characteristics.
• Skilled in reviewing system design, managing change control, and ensuring compliance with licensing regulations.
• Familiarity with in-building wireless (IBW) systems, including field surveys, interference resolution, and proposal reviews.
• Ability to support Motorola subscriber radio updates, codeplug development, encryption upgrades, and user training.
• Experienced in developing radio usage guidelines, technical documentation, and long-term communications planning.

• Experience developing fleetmaps, code plugs, and programming radios for public safety: 3 years (Required)
• Experience managing Motorola User Configuration Manager: 3 years (Required)
• Experience troubleshooting WS systems (cell, microwave, LMR, UHF, etc.): 3 years (Required)
• Experience with public safety infrastructure: 3 years (Required)
• Experience with P25 radio network: 3 years (Required)
• Experience and knowledge of public safety communications and interoperability: 3 years (Required)
• Experience and knowledge with LTE and WiMAX – standard practices: 3 years (Required)
• Experience and knowledge of PSAP operations: 3 years (Required)
• Experience and knowledge of wireless communications – combination of theory and practice: 6 years (Required)
