Centurion is looking for a hybrid Senior QA Engineer supporting a client in the DC area. Candidates need to be local and willing to come on site as needed. Due to the nature of this work, U.S. Citizenship is needed.
Work Experience: 7+ years of experience developing, automating, and executing test cases and scripts across various SDLCs, including DevOps, Agile, Lean, Iterative, and Waterfall. Skilled in planning, leading, and reporting on testing efforts across complex projects. Proven ability to validate requirements for testability and mentor team members on best practices. Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as: Unified Functional Testing (UFT) Rational Functional Tester Selenium BrowserStack
Experienced in transferring test automation knowledge and planning strategies to QA teams. Proficient in identifying test cases for automation from existing documentation. Capable of configuring automated testing tools and environments. Skilled in creating, enhancing, debugging, and executing code-based test cases. Experienced in developing and maintaining a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM). Strong background in organizing and managing the defect lifecycle. In-depth experience testing applications on Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms, including: Client-server Web Mobile Cloud-based systems
Proficient in designing and executing SQL queries for data validation. Demonstrated ability to build and manage test environments on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS. Intermediate-level expertise in software testing and quality assurance processes. Skilled in identifying test cases for automation from existing documentation. Proficient in creating, enhancing, debugging, and executing test cases. Experienced in organizing and monitoring the defect management process. Strong background in designing test plans, test cases, test data, and test processes. Participates in walkthroughs and reviews of testing procedures to ensure quality and completeness. Prepares comprehensive reports related to software testing activities and outcomes. Ensures all testing activities adhere to defined standards, procedures, and quality practices. Thoroughly analyzes requirements to develop effective and efficient test scripts. Applies in-depth knowledge of testing tools and industry trends to recommend process improvements and innovations. Represents the testing team in interdepartmental meetings and engages with customers as needed. Capable of supervising testing activities, identifying training needs, and mentoring team members. Plans and estimates testing efforts for projects and initiatives. Continuously improves testing processes using metrics and performance data.
