Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an experienced Senior Principal Software Engineer - Tenant Solutions Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA .
The Selected Candidate Will Perform The Following Essential Functions
Work with software integrators and infrastructure/environment provider to design/architect the deployment of software products in an IFC release at site Work in a process-oriented software development environment across the software lifecycle Interface with infrastructure/environment provider to understand the deployment environment and forthcoming changes to advise software teams on changes needed to their software installations/deployments/configurations Develop transition plan from current blue/green environment to new infrastructure/environment at site and in the labs Prepare and brief deployment design and changes to customer, program management, infrastructure/environment provider and software teams Provide training and advise software teams on their software installations/deployments as a tenant
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings across all levels. Candidate must be able to work closely with systems engineers, system test engineers and software engineers across multiple Tech Areas/IPTs and Operating Units in addition to the infrastructure/environment provider.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 8 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 6 years of related engineering experience; OR a PHD in STEM with 4 year of related engineering experience 5+ years of experience with virtualization technology (e.g. VMware) and deploying, configuring, maintaining Linux and Windows VMs 5+ years of experience with scripting language such as PowerShell and/or Ansible Experience leading an effort from scoping requirements through release, ensuring alignment with business goals and user need Experience deploying containerized software on Kubernetes Active DoD Top Secret clearance and must be able to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with engineers of all levels

Already has obtained Program Access (PAR) Experienced with OpenShift Familiarity with Nutanix

Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
