The Challenge As a Senior Principal Data Platform Engineer, you will be part of an innovative Enterprise data team that empowers Marketing, Product, Sales, and Finance to leverage data for competitive advantage. You will collaborate with data engineers, architects, domain experts, and analysts to understand requirements and develop scalable data platform solutions and architecture. Your Mission Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and analysts to understand business needs and develop top-tier data platform solutions. Build and automate modern data platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake), deploy applications, and provision infrastructure. Administer, maintain, and support production systems (Snowflake, Fivetran, DBT, Power BI, Airflow). Develop CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) for safe, reproducible deployments. Design and implement automation frameworks to deliver high-quality data within SLAs. Engage stakeholders to understand platform needs and develop provisioning strategies. Work within a Scrum environment to deliver value efficiently. Reduce technical debt through root cause analysis, issue resolution, and best practices promotion. You Are This hands-on role requires industry best practices and technical expertise. Your Experience Includes Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of experience, including 6+ years in large-scale data warehouse projects. Strong SQL skills, dimensional modeling, and ETL pipeline optimization. 7+ years with Python and data manipulation. 5+ years with Snowflake, Airflow, and ETL/integration tools. Experience with Data Warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift) and Big Data (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis). Ability to evaluate new tools and enhance architecture. Proactive, technical expert with strong communication skills. Salary range for certain states: $150,675—$226,012.50 USD. Compensation includes bonuses, equity, benefits, and flexible work options.
