We are seeking a Senior Principal Cloud Network Engineer to play a pivotal role in our cloud networking initiatives.
Location: Onsite, Washington, DC
Pay Rate: $85-$90/hr. W2
This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity, and applicants must be willing to work on a W2 basis with the potential to convert to Full-Time Employment (FTE) following the contract duration. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for our W2 consultants, including:

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a robust IPv6 strategy for a multi-cloud environment, including migration plans and adoption roadmaps.
Establish advanced security measures for IPv6 networks, incorporating firewall policies, intrusion detection systems, and DDoS management.
Collaborate with various IT teams to ensure smooth integration of IPv6 networking solutions.
Manage and oversee cloud networking components, including VPCs, subnets, Load Balancers, and Security Groups.
Provide technical direction to Cloud team members and Modal partners regarding IPv6 networking in cloud environments.
Experience Requirements:
Over 10 years of relevant experience in managing cloud environments.
Extensive expertise in cloud service provider selection and implementation techniques.
Deep knowledge of IPv6 networking, focusing on addressing, routing, and subnetting.
Hands-on experience with dual-stack networks, as well as NAT64 and DNS64 translation services.
Advanced understanding of network security principles and practices.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
Possession of AWS Advanced Networking Specialty certification or Azure Networking Engineer certification.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree is required.
All skills, experience, and compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. Please note that this pay range reflects a W2 hourly rate, and other employment options may be available that could lead to different compensation.
