Join us as a Senior Platform Software Engineer, where you will be instrumental in architecting, building, and maintaining the foundational platforms that enable our engineering teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient platform infrastructure utilizing modern DevOps and cloud-native practices. Develop and maintain sophisticated software applications that adapt to emerging business and technical requirements. Lead the development of internal developer platforms (IDPs) to optimize infrastructure and expedite product delivery. Promote the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps, and CI/CD best practices throughout engineering teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, developers, and security experts, to establish and uphold platform and software standards. Oversee the entire lifecycle of platform services, including observability, incident response, capacity planning, and performance optimization. Create and sustain comprehensive testing strategies to ensure software reliability and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across infrastructure and application layers. Investigate and incorporate new tools and technologies to enhance platform capabilities and improve the developer experience. Prepare and maintain thorough technical documentation, including specifications, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks. Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational standards across all platform and software components. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in areas such as IaaS, Azure Cloud, API, platform engineering, CI/CD, and GitHub. Willingness to work onsite in Coppell, TX office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Technical Skills: Proficiency in major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) with hands-on experience in core services. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CloudFormation. Skilled in containerization with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes. Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps. Programming knowledge in languages such as Python, Go, Bash, and YAML/JSON. Familiarity with monitoring platforms like Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog. Understanding of secure infrastructure design and DevSecOps principles. Experience with API lifecycle management and working with API gateways. Solid networking concepts understanding including DNS, TCP/IP, and load balancing. Core Competencies: Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. Familiar with Agile methodologies and tools. Ability to maintain clear and concise technical documentation.
