Join Leidos as a Senior Network Operations Engineer on our AGUN team, supporting the Army's extensive global wide area network and security infrastructure. This role presents a unique opportunity to lead operations support staff in a critical network migration and management mission.
PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The AGUN program operates in a challenging environment that demands exceptional technical and professional leadership. You will play a key role in managing a large and complex network while working to fulfill the mission requirements of the US Army.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
Must have and maintain an active SECRET security clearance or higher. (US Citizenship required)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain secure network solutions for the US Army as part of a centralized enterprise.
Collaborate with technical experts to discover legacy environments, assess current capabilities, and provide tier III support for the global network.
Analyze secure wide area connectivity, focusing on performance, quality of service, and security requirements.
Support secure access solutions leveraging zero trust network architecture, including the creation and maintenance of access policies.
Integrate capacity planning and scaling for network security into operational support processes.
Identify optimization strategies and techniques to meet performance and capacity standards.
Coordinate with information assurance teams to ensure compliance with DoD standards and maintain network security.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 6+ years (additional relevant experience may substitute for a degree).
Network certification at least equivalent to CCNA (other vendor certifications may be considered).
Active DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+) required before start.
Extensive experience with patching, upgrading, and lifecycle management of network devices.
Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols: LAN, WAN, BGP, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, Routing (L2/L3), and Firewalls.
Experience with enterprise network management tools such as Palo Alto Panorama, Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA, or Junos Space.
Experience in system hardening and DoD STIG implementation for network infrastructure.
Familiarity with multiple vendor technologies including Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto.
Proficient in protocols like SFTP, SSH, SCP, SNMP, NTP.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent.
Experience with virtualized network devices.
Hands-on experience with Cisco SD-WAN and Palo Alto Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW).
Familiarity with NetSecOps technologies such as Git, Gitlab CI/CD, Ansible, Terraform.
Expertise in designing and enhancing complex enterprise networks.
In-depth knowledge of US Army security requirements for network infrastructure.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
