Summary We are seeking a talented Senior Network Engineer for CONUS region support of a Department of Defense medical mission. The candidate will ensure complex network requirements are maintained and protected, lead resolution of LAN/WAN issues, and manage installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network equipment. The Senior Network Engineer will serve as the subject matter expert for network infrastructure. Responsibilities Serve as the CONUS and global point of contact for network issues, configuration, and management. Advise and consult with government and contractor staff on LAN/WAN design, implementation, and management to support the MHS mission. Resolve technical issues using network management tools such as HP OpenView, Cisco Works, and Tivoli; understand MIB and MRTG for performance monitoring. Maintain LAN/WAN security, including firewalls, VPNs, and IDSs. Recommend and implement network enhancements, study vendor products, and establish procedures to ensure compliance with DoD policies. Evaluate and resolve complex network protocol issues, develop policies, and establish standards for LAN/WAN access. Travel and support subordinate roles as needed. Qualifications Active DoD Secret Clearance at minimum Active DoD 8570 IAM Level III certification (CISSP, GSLC, CISM, or CCISO) Bachelor's Degree in related field and five years of experience, or 10 years of related experience with vocational training. Knowledge of TCP/IP, XDM, HTTP, SMTP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols, and communications standards. Experience with routed, switched LANs, Windows, UNIX, and network connectivity technologies. Preferred: experience with DoD Healthcare Systems, Cisco, Windows networks, MCSE, CCNP, CISSP. Salary Range Min: USD $101,949.00/Yr. | Max: USD $159,296.00/Yr.
