Position: Senior Network Engineer - Routing
As a Senior Network Engineer in our IT department, you will play a crucial role in designing and engineering secured IT infrastructure. This position requires you to be a subject matter expert, providing essential support and guidance for implementing networking products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with various teams, vendors, and clients to implement and support networking solutions.
Contribute to the design and support of Data Center and Enterprise LAN/WAN environments.
Engineer and support routing for data centers, performance hubs, and cloud environments.
Work with IT Security teams to address and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Document all changes to network infrastructure.
Utilize ITIL processes for change, incident, and problem management related to network environments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
5 years of experience in network routing/switching technologies.
Eligibility to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with WAN technologies.
Familiarity with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ISR/ASR.
Knowledge of Arista technologies and BGP routing.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Able to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
Strong analytical and technical problem-solving abilities.
Experience in environments with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.) is preferred.
Physical Job Requirements:
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call duties.
Must be able to sit for extended periods, use hands, talk, and hear effectively.
This position reports to a Manager in the IT department. The salary range for this role is between $94,000 and $160,000, depending on experience and skills.
