Our client, a large chemical manufacturer, has an opening for a Senior Maintenance Manager - Mechanical Engineer. The position requires a minimum of 10 years of mechanical engineering experience in a chemical plant or refinery. •Experience in maintenance, materials, reliability, design engineering or related engineering field required.

•Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred

•Manage 15-20 member team of engineers and contractors.

•Able to manage, prioritize work and motivate team.

•Strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and cause analysis tools.

•Maintain mechanical integrity processes within chemical industry and OSHA process safety standards.

•Manage and coordinate third party services to monitor equipment conditions and inspections.

•Experience working with Management of Change (MOC) documents, issuing safe work permits, developing project safety plans, and contract administration.

•Establish policies and productivity improvements for site reliability and operations teams.

•Assist in the department's goal to optimize maintenance of equipment, minimize maintenance downtime and optimize machine efficiency.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

•B.S. in Engineering - Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering preferred.

•Minimum of 10 years of mechanical engineering experience in a chemical plant or refinery.

•Previous management experience required.

•Ability to coordinate large projects associated with maintenance and reliability issues.

•Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment in a chemical plant or related field is required.

•Predictive techniques for fixed, rotating, power distribution equipment and instrumentation e.g. vibration analysis, nondestructive testing, thermography, etc.
