We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at our facility in Stratford, CT. In this role, you will work on new product development and enhance existing products from conception to production. Working closely with Sales & Marketing, you will create concepts based on product specifications, customer needs, and market feedback. Additional responsibilities include: Perform full lifecycle product development on new products (design, develop, create prototypes, manufacture, and implement) and continuous improvement of existing products. Lead project teams and facilitate communication and interaction among departments and customers. Track projects against their schedule, budget, and objectives, reporting status to management and customers regularly. Experience You have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of commercial experience in product design and development, mechanics, kinematics, and materials. You are fluent in 3D modeling with SolidWorks and 2D drafting with AutoCAD. You possess working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, stamping, and die casting, along with familiarity with machine shop practices, molding, press working, and GD&T. Additionally, you have a basic understanding of electronics. Your strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills enable effective teamwork and coordination, with consideration for cost, manufacturability, and quality constraints. J.R.
