It is silent, vibrationless, stable, and capable of being integrated into laptops, TVs, and more by the world's largest OEMs. As we embark on this exciting journey, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team. Job Summary As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Ventiva, you will report to the VP of Engineering and play a pivotal role in the design, development, and optimization of the thermal management system for our revolutionary laptop cooling solution. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and overall quality of our product. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the engineering team developing the first Solid State Active Thermal Solution for laptops, ensuring optimal heat dissipation and performance. Conduct analyses to optimize the design for various laptop configurations and usage scenarios. Work with cross-functional teams to create prototypes for testing. Conduct rigorous testing to verify reliability and durability under various conditions. Design mechanical parts and assemblies, analyzing material selection, manufacturability, assembly flow, and tolerances. Apply expertise in master modeling, functional dimensioning, GD&T, and FACA. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system design efficiency, materials, and components. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure seamless production processes. Develop and maintain documentation related to design specifications, testing procedures, and quality standards. Qualifications Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 15+ years of proven experience in designing and optimizing subsystem solutions for electronic components, preferably in the laptop market. Hands-on experience with structured problem solving, design of experiments, root cause analysis, FMEA, and statistical analysis tools like JMP or Minitab. Experience in implementing new products or processes into high-volume manufacturing environments. Experience with qualifying new materials or processes in electronics. Experience in developing new materials or processes from concept to production. Proficiency in SolidWorks, PTC Creo (ProE), or other 3D modeling software.
