Responsibilities As a Senior Marine Engineer you will have the opportunity to do the following: * Perform design reviews, evaluate constructability, help resolve technical issues, and manage information generated through the design and construction phases of multiple and concurrent projects. * Design, develop and evaluate operation of shipboard HVAC & Refrigeration systems. * Conduct HVAC&R trade studies, reviews and provide comments on new US Coast Guard acquisition cutter and boat HVAC&R system designs. * Lead engineers in development efforts, reviews of technical data packages. * Provide engineering support in the analysis of all HVAC&R related technical issues and design challenges. * Support the US Coast Guard reviewing third party design modifications and improvements. * Conduct ship visits. * Develop Engineering Changes of HVAC&R systems. * Conduct mechanical engineering & psychrometric analysis. * Research advanced engineering designs and/or applications. * Prepare technical reports. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering * Ability to obtain a secret clearance * U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance * At least 5+ years of experience in design, development, installation and operation of shipboard HVAC and/or Refrigeration systems and related equipment. Pay Transparency Statement AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $91,600.00/Yr. - USD $153,000.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
