As a Senior Lead Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming our data practices and pushing the boundaries of technology. What You'll Do: Work closely with Agile teams to design, develop, test, and implement cutting-edge solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies.

Lead a talented group of developers experienced in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems.

Utilize programming languages such as Java, Scala, and Python, along with both RDBMS and NoSQL databases, leveraging cloud-based data warehousing services including Redshift and Snowflake.

Stay ahead of tech trends, engage in experimentation with new technologies, and share your knowledge by mentoring fellow engineers.

Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud solutions that enhance financial empowerment for millions of customers.

Conduct unit tests and peer reviews to ensure your code is well-designed, efficiently coded, and optimized for performance.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree.

Minimum of 6 years of experience in application development (Internship experience not included).

At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies.

A minimum of 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree.

9+ years of application development experience, including proficiency in Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.

4+ years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

5+ years in distributed data/computing technologies (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL).

4+ years of experience with real-time data and streaming applications.

4+ years of experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).

4+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake).

4+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux, including basic command usage and shell scripting.

2+ years of experience applying Agile engineering practices.

This role is based in McLean, VA, and is eligible for competitive annual salaries ranging from $225,400 to $257,200, based on experience. Candidates in Plano, TX and Richmond, VA can expect salaries between $204,900 and $233,800. Additionally, you may earn performance-based incentives, including bonuses and long-term incentives.
