Your Job Molex is looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer to design and develop Active Electrical Cable (AEC) products for Hyperscalers. Our Team We are the Copper Solution Business Unit of Molex Datacom & Specialty Solutions Division. Our business is witnessing tremendous growth owing to the increasing need for cloud services and higher data transfer rates. You will be working under leadership that has been setting and driving industry standards in data centers for more than 30 years. What You Will Do Hardware Design of High-Speed PCBs utilizing communications chipsets and microcontrollers, along with associated memory, clocking and power components. Work closely with signal integrity and mechanical engineers to develop next-generation 112-224G high-speed interconnect active subsystems and modules. Oversee the digital and power aspects of PCB Layout. Collaborate with the firmware development and product test teams. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware related issues from initial board bring-up through product validation phases, and to factory/field issues. Create test plans and perform hardware design validation tests. Support fabrication and assembly from first prototypes through volume production. Assist with production handover and provide support for released products. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Proven experience in developing high speed mixed signal hardware platforms. Experience with designs incorporating DSP’s, SoC’s, or Processors. Experience creating Schematics, managing PCB Constraints, and reviewing PCB Layouts (Cadence Allegro preferred). Experience with Power Integrity simulation and PDN Design (ANSYS SiWave preferred). Experience with Signal Integrity simulation using IBIS models. Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills. Experience with initial board bring up and performing Hardware Validation Tests. Experience collaborating with Mechanical, SI, Firmware, and Test teams. Knowledge of the full product development lifecycle. What Will Put You Ahead Experience with pluggable modules like QSFP/QSFP-DD/OSFP, or PCIe Experience mentoring or supervising Engineers or Technicians For this role, we anticipate paying $140,000 - $180,000 per year.
