Oura employees in other major cities (like Boston and New York) occasionally gather informally at local co-working locations.We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our growing Software engineering organization in the U.S.A. Our organization consists of cross-functional squads, each with a specific area of ownership across the Oura product. You’ll be part of the Commerce Platform squad within the Commerce Mission. The Commerce Mission drives Oura’s product sales revenue through online e-commerce and offline partnerships. This Commerce Platform has a business critical charter to build platform capabilities that enable multi-million dollar sales revenue through partnerships.What You’ll DoWhat you will do:Be part of a revenue-generating organization with a charter to increase Oura’s brand recognition and drive product sales. We focus on both Direct-to-Consumer and Business-to-Business channels.Partner with Product and UX to deliver reliable and scalable solutions using TypeScript, DynamoDB, Redis and AWS technologiesStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsProactive mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet user and business needsAbility to balance technical excellence with pragmatic decision makingDesign and implement testable and well-documented code and ensure that our platform adheres to the latest security and compliance regulationsAssist in the design and implementation of experiments and A/B tests to inform product direction and improvementsPush for architectural improvements that will allow us to scale and build new types of productsProactively work through ambiguously defined problems, reducing their complexity into clear, simple and actionable solutionsDemonstrate up-to-date expertise in software engineering and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plansRequirementsAt least 6+ years of practical full stack development work experience; your level will be determined from the interviewsFrontend and backend experience with modern frameworks such as React, TypeScript, JavaScript, NodeJS and AWSPragmatic entrepreneurial attitude and deliver-focused mindset; you can handle tradeoffs between short-term goals and long-term tech debtTeam oriented mindset and enjoy working in a diverse environment with distributed teamsSolid programming skills in JavaScript or TypeScript and can write high-quality code including automated testsSolid knowledge of API best practices, Serverless Coding using Lambda and other functionsArchitected, built and deployed scalable, performant web services in production on AWS or similar, and can apply architecture patterns and best practicsAn affinity for automating busywork and fixing problems at the rootExperience building e-commerce or payments systems a plusOther Web Technologies We Use:SASSNextJSExpressDynamoDBKubernetesJestPlaywrightReduxBenefitsAt Oura, we care about you and your well-being.
