Senior Fire Protection Engineer / Project Manager
Location: Las Vegas, NV area (on-site)
Overview
This role is for a fire protection and life safety engineer who can lead impactful projects while contributing to business growth. You will prepare, design, supervise, and submit technical reports and drawings, working across a diverse portfolio of buildings and industries. The position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment with transparency at all levels and without the bureaucracy of a large corporate setting. Depending on experience, you could be an established Fire Protection Engineer, a project engineer ready to step into project management, or an experienced PM looking to advance your career.
Responsibilities
Manage projects from design through delivery, with approximately 70% focused on engineering/project work and 30% on business development.
Lead client relationship management and oversee the production of fire protection reports, code compliance reviews, plan reviews, and egress/accessibility design drawings.
Submit project deliverables on schedule, supported by an in-house technical team.
Participate in weekly project management coordination meetings to maintain deadlines and client satisfaction.
Travel occasionally (about once every 1–2 months, generally within the Western U.S.) for project kick-offs, site visits, or conferences, with most trips planned as single-day travel.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
Minimum 6 years of relevant fire protection engineering experience.
Professional Engineering (PE) License.
Strong background in both project engineering and project management.
Compensation
Salary range: $110,000–$190,000 (depending on experience).
