About the role: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of the Safety System Software team within Global Instrumentation and Control. You will develop software applications for Nuclear Safety Instrumentation and Control systems using the Westinghouse Common Q Platform. This is a hybrid role based in Warrendale, PA, in the Greater Pittsburgh area. Key Responsibilities: Develop, modify, and maintain application software for I&C Safety System products. Create requirements and design documentation for software implementations. Conduct documentation and code reviews. Support testing and certification of Safety System Software by interfacing with external groups. Evaluate, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues. Execute assignments independently within project schedules and budgets. Collaborate with mentors and colleagues to develop skills within the team. Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in software development, especially in regulated environments. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Knowledge of distributed I&C architectures. Preferred experience with PLC programming, C/C++, SQL/Access, version control, CI/CD tools, and requirements management tools. Familiarity with the waterfall development model. Strong problem-solving skills. Effective teamwork abilities across engineering, testing, and manufacturing. Why Westinghouse?
