Senior Engineer, Procurement (Kulicke and Soffa Industries, Inc., Fort Washington, PA): Lead internal sourcing and procurement guidelines and procedures for usage in future vendor and component selection, which are ultimately targeted at more effectively addressing key production/material needs, as well as issues which arise during sourcing/manufacturing operations; Research, investigate, and qualify alternate component technologies or supplies in the context of our sourcing/manufacturing needs, with the goal of reducing Company production and operation costs and improving product quality and reliability; Evaluate relevant supplier change notifications and qualifying those changes, as needed, to ensure the flow of materials and components in a manner which supports our operational needs and supports production functions; Represent our entity in the United States during sourcing, procurement, and production-related discussions with our Company’s Singapore factory staff in connection with key matters such as lead time analysis, critical path identification, and prioritization of demand requirements; Document and manage current procurement quotes and documents, as well as update cost databases in order to maintain an accurate record of Company procurement procedures and costs for assigned Business Unit and development program; Lead cross functional team to maintain our Company’s component data management system, including qualification records, results, and other documentation related to materials, components, and sourcing which can be used to inform purchasing and production decisions; Serve as a liaison between external sourcing stakeholders (component/production suppliers) and internal development engineers, in matters related to determining new and alternate sources for components; Lead negotiating terms, conditions, exceptions, and pricing for sourced components and materials to optimize pricing and mitigate Company supply and component related risks. Serve as a key resource for internal and vendor stakeholders on topics related to sourcing, procurement, production, and other materials/supply chain matters impacting production. Must have experience with the following in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks: Experience reviewing and negotiating supplier pricing, terms and conditions and exceptions to mitigate risks; Experience managing procurement quotes and documents, updating cost databases, analyzing lead times, identifying critical paths and prioritizing demand requirements; Experience building strong value-added relationships with suppliers and fellow team members; Experience managing cost roadmaps and cost rollup spreadsheets; Experience working with geometric tolerances; Experience with cost reduction and lead time reduction with complex assembly suppliers; Experience with data analysis using Python and Excel; Experience with data visualization tools e.g. Tableau, Plotly, Power BI; and Experience working with overseas suppliers. Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related field, and at least 2 years of experience as a Procurement Engineer, Supply Chain Analyst or a related occupation.
