Servomex, the global expert in gas analysis, has an opening for a Senior Electrical Engineer within our dedicated team; delivering electrical designs for the long-term development of new technologies and products within our Purity and Specialty market segment. Our high-performance analyzer solutions and sensing technologies are used in high purity gas analysis, including industrial and medical gases, semiconductor manufacturing and air separation. Our new colleague will support existing designs throughout the entire product lifecycle and develop custom solutions for manufacture and test of electrical systems. About the Opportunity: Create electrical designs following a structured, phase gate New Product Introduction (NPI) process Design, develop firmware for, and test PCBAs for gas analyzers with both analog and digital circuits Select components for new electrical designs and manage product component obsolescence issues Provide engineering support for onsite and contract manufacturing operations Develop and commission capital and test equipment used for gas analyzer and sensor production Test and analyze performance of gas analysis equipment including root cause analysis for failures Actively contribute to a supportive, ethical work environment About Your Talent: Essential Skills and Experience: Design and firmware experience with both digital and analog circuits Proven ability to debug a complex system of interacting software and firmware Development of low-level embedded software in C Competent with design tools such as Altium and OrCAD Embedded processor design for data acquisition and control Experience working in a regulated environment such as ISO 9001, 13485 or FDA Regulatory agency and certification experience (UL, CSA, CE, ROHS, IEC) Experience with designing for EMI mitigation Adept at application of Engineering first principles and robust problem-solving methodologies Experience and confidence with DFx, DFMEA and other design tools Good, proactive communication skills Flexible, tolerant, multi-tasking attitude when working under pressure Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while regularly providing imaginative and detailed technical solutions to complex problems Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Desirable Skills and Experience: Experience with signal processing in high sensitivity gas analysis or analytical laboratory equipment Hands on experience with gas flow measurement equipment is preferred Familiarity with version control using git / GitHub or similar Knowledge of laser spectroscopy a big plus as is familiarity with design for Hazardous Area IEC 60079 General Environmental Testing such as IEC60068 or MIL-STD 810 Exposure or experience of implementing business systems and tools Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering Location : Woburn, MA. Job Type: Full-time, permanent Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (flexible start times) Salary: $130,000 to $160,000 base Servomex offers a comprehensive salary and benefits package; we consider several factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
