Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from CFMOTO Powersports Inc The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for coaching an international team focused on all electrical aspects of CF Moto’s off-road vehicles. This includes hardware such as lights, MMI, audio, HVAC, motors, controllers, chargers, control modules, and harnesses. The Engineer will also work closely with software developers for smooth integration of functions within the vehicle and between the vehicle and the external RideSync app. They will support company growth through infrastructure improvements, methodology development, analysis procedures, and correlation efforts to accelerate improvements. This role will also be a key team member for identifying technologies and supplier partners that support CFMOTO’s long-range product plan. Key Responsibilities • Plans architecture for the electrical system of off-road powersports vehicles. Vehicle drivelines could be either internal combustion engines, 100% electric, or hybrid • Coaches members of the international engineering team in areas of VOC inputs, commonality planning, serviceability, etc. to confirm the vehicle works as intended when used by customers • Works across different vehicle groups (powertrain, chassis, and electrical) to find the right answer for the customer on vehicle level KPIs that impact project execution • Authors requirements documents defining environmental, chemical, EMI, etc. goals for electrical parts and systems for off-road powersports vehicles. This includes details such as life targets, pass/fail test criteria, and serviceability requirements. Works with CFMOTO’s international electrical teams to implement these procedures as standard work • Leads the vehicle level software integration between all systems: such as infotainment, engine management, user interfaces, D-Scan (service tool) and RideSync •Collaborates with design, materials, and testing teams to identify and implement improvements that enhance component durability, extending vehicle lifespan and reducing maintenance requirements •Works together with the sourcing team to identify, screen and on-board supplier partners •Develops and implements test plans for specific vehicle components and systems to confirm their readiness for production. Both hardware and software •Develops and implements procedures that capture best practice approaches to an analysis led design mindset. This includes the analysis itself, the communication of results, the correlation of physical and analytical tests, and report writing •Monitors industry trends related to electrical integration, electrification, software, vehicle communication, and serviceability to advocate for product evolution via CFMOTO’s long-range product planning Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Software Engineering, Master’s preferred Clear written and verbal communication skills 10+ years’ experience with powersports products Self-directed and self-motivated Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously 5+ years of experience collaborating with international engineering teams Ability to make data driven decisions and demonstrate strong analytical skills Passion for problem solving with the ability to identify root cause issues by following first principles approach Able to travel internationally up to 5x/year The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of job-related factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, certifications, education, location and other business and organizational needs.
