Power the Future of Clean Energy & Carbon Capture
Location: Franklin, TN (On-Site)
Type: Full-Time
Seniority: Senior / Technical Contributor
Join Enexor BioEnergy Enexor is a venture-backed, early-stage climate tech company just outside of Nashville, TN, developing distributed systems that turn organic and plastic waste into clean energy and high-purity CO₂. We are reimagining how the world addresses emissions, waste, and energy access—one modular system at a time.
We’re not just solving problems. We’re redefining what’s possible at the intersection of engineering, energy, and sustainability.
Why This Role Matters We’re seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in power conversion, DC electrical systems, and instrumentation & controls to help build the next generation of our distributed energy and carbon capture platforms.
You’ll work cross-functionally with our mechanical, process, and software teams to architect, design, and deploy high-performance electrical and control systems, ensuring our field-ready platforms are robust, scalable, and efficient.
This role is ideal for engineers who want to get out of the office and into the lab, onto the shop floor, and out in the field. You’ll work hands-on, from schematics to testing to commissioning.
What You’ll Do Design and develop DC power distribution and conversion systems (AC-DC, DC-DC, battery interfaces, low-voltage/high-current buses).
Architect and implement instrumentation and control wiring for thermal, gas, and pressure systems.
Develop and document schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams for modular, containerized hardware.
Select and specify sensors, power supplies, contactors, relays, and instrumentation components.
Integrate PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and safety systems into cohesive electrical architectures.
Support system builds: assemble panels, supervise wiring, debug in the field.
Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to ensure seamless cross-disciplinary integration.
Own compliance with relevant safety standards, grounding schemes, and enclosure requirements.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
5–10+ years of experience designing and implementing industrial or energy-related electrical systems.
Strong knowledge of DC power systems, inverters, converters, and instrumentation.
Proficiency in electrical CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar).
Experience designing and debugging control panels, signal interfaces, and low-voltage logic systems.
Familiarity with industrial environments: heat, gas, pressure, EMI, and ruggedization.
Comfortable working hands-on—this is not a desk-only role.
Bonus Points For:
Experience in energy systems, waste-to-energy, carbon capture, or distributed power.
Background in automation (PLCs, HMIs, Modbus, etc.) or SCADA integration.
Understanding of UL1741, NEC, NFPA, and related compliance standards.
Familiarity with mobile or containerized system design and deployment.
Benefits
Why You’ll Love It Here Mission with urgency: You’ll help solve real-world energy and emissions problems with technology that scales.
No red tape: Fast decisions, flat org, and deep ownership.
Equity upside: This is a key role in a rapidly growing climate tech company.
True engineering culture: We build, we test, we fix, we deploy.
Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary + equity opportunities in a fast-growing climate tech company.
401(k) plan and health insurance stipend (QSEHRA).
Paid vacation and holidays.
Work alongside an elite engineering team building next-gen clean tech hardware.
