Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to drive the design, development, and sustainment of advanced pharmacy automation systems. This role focuses on improving product reliability, supporting cost-effective sourcing, and ensuring seamless integration with Product Operations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver with a strong background in motion control, embedded systems, and electrical architecture, combined with leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities Lead and contribute to the design and development of robotic systems from concept through production, including prototyping, validation, and certification. Manage and support multiple R&D and sustaining engineering initiatives, delivering high-quality outcomes on time. Improve the performance and reliability of existing and future products using deep electrical engineering knowledge. Translate complex system-level requirements into robust, scalable electrical designs and specifications. Design systems involving robotics, motion control, power electronics, and embedded systems. Support legacy products by developing diagnostic tools, maintaining test equipment, and updating firmware as needed. Create and maintain accurate and detailed technical documentation for all electrical systems. Provide technical support for regulatory compliance, including UL, CE, TuV, and EMI/EMC certifications.
Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required) Experience: Minimum of 10 years in electrical engineering, focusing on product development, sustainment, and manufacturing support
Technical Expertise Proficiency in Altium Designer (or equivalent PCB tools) for schematic capture and board layout Experience with LabView and/or LabWindows CVI for test automation Deep knowledge of motion control, servo systems, AC power electronics, and embedded systems Hands-on experience in bare-metal C programming, including interrupt handling and memory management (NXP and STMicro preferred) Familiarity with C# development in Visual Studio (preferred) Expertise in system-level electrical architecture and design validation Strong understanding of regulatory compliance standards including UL-61010, UL-60601, CE, TuV, and EMI/EMC
Soft Skills Excellent verbal and written communication for cross-functional collaboration Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities within engineering teams Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex system-level issues
Work Environment & Physical Requirements Office-based work environment with occasional visits to manufacturing or testing areas Frequent use of hands for typing and manipulation of small components/tools Must be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods Ability to lift up to 5 lbs frequently and up to 30 lbs occasionally
