The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for performing and/or overseeing all aspects of electrical systems design for our projects. Future oversight of other electrical engineering personnel is also likely. The ideal candidate is expected to take a leadership role within the firm, and will work directly with clients, performing both technical engineering and project management roles. Responsibilities and Duties: · Design and analysis of electrical power distribution systems · Design and analysis of lighting systems · Design and analysis of low-voltage systems (fire alarm, communications, security, public address, etc.) · Complete calculations related to electrical systems · Use of electrical systems design software · Production of electrical drawings and specifications · Review of submittals from contractors · Response to contractor questions Qualifications and Skills: · Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Iowa · Minimum of five years' experience designing electrical systems for buildings · Experience with design of power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems · Experience with design software packages (AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software) · Ability to work effectively with other team members and clients Benefits: · Generous vacation and sick time · Individual retirement plan with company contributions · Life and disability insurance · Health insurance
