Direct message the job poster from SoTalent We are seeking an experienced DevOps and Tools Engineer to play a crucial role in enhancing and supporting the Agile development ecosystem across our Technology organization. You'll be instrumental in configuring and maintaining platforms that power continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), collaborating closely with development teams to ensure engineering excellence, automation, and operational resilience. As a part of the DevOps & Tools team, your focus will be on optimizing development processes, integrating best-in-class toolchains, and enabling scalable Agile and DevSecOps practices. This is a high-impact role that combines infrastructure expertise with developer-centric tooling and process improvement. Key Responsibilities: Define development process standards, tooling strategies, and roadmaps in collaboration with engineering leadership. Administer and support cloud-hosted Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Jira Align) to streamline Agile workflows and team collaboration. Develop automation tooling and scripts to enhance CI/CD pipelines and align with security and compliance protocols. Integrate and configure tools that support Agile at scale and improve operational visibility. Promote DevOps best practices across the organization and serve as a subject matter expert on tools and automation. Ensure system reliability and performance by monitoring, resolving incidents, and conducting root cause analysis within defined SLAs. Coordinate with other teams to address service disruptions, maintenance, and deployment support. Provide 24/7 support on a rotational basis, including after-hours maintenance when necessary. Qualifications: Required Experience: 7+ years of experience in DevOps or related engineering roles Hands-on expertise with DevOps tools such as: Experience with scripting languages: Shell, Groovy, Python, PowerShell, HCL, or similar Proven ability to automate infrastructure and deployments in hybrid environments (private and public cloud) Strong background in container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, and image/container management 5+ years of experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Jira Align) and collaboration tools like Mural 4+ years working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB Preferred Skills: Experience in training and guiding development teams on DevOps tools and Agile workflows Strong grasp of infrastructure architecture with a focus on security, performance, availability, and monitoring Ability to lead technical discussions and solve complex integration and automation challenges Comfortable managing workloads, setting priorities, and resolving technical blockers across cross-functional teams Educational Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related technical field Advanced degrees in a relevant discipline are a plus Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Information Technology Industries Staffing and Recruiting and Financial Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at SoTalent by 2x Get notified about new DevOps Engineer jobs in Dallas, TX .
