The Role at a Glance: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with Aurora PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift, and a strong understanding of AWS services including Glue, Lambda, S3, Athena, and EC2. You will play a critical role in developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, optimizing data systems, and facilitating advanced analytics and reporting across our organization. What You'll Be Doing: Designing, building, and maintaining resilient data pipelines to enhance business intelligence and analytics.
Optimizing and managing data storage solutions in Aurora PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift to ensure data integrity and superior performance.
Integrating structured and unstructured data from various internal and external sources.
Ensuring adherence to data security, governance, and compliance best practices.
Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to provide high-quality datasets that drive business decisions.
Developing ETL workflows using AWS Glue, Lambda, and custom scripts in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
Monitoring and troubleshooting data workflows effectively.
Participating in data architecture discussions to help define and refine our data infrastructure strategy on AWS.
What We're Looking For: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role, specifically with AWS.
Deep expertise in Aurora PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift.
Familiarity with DevOps tools like Pipelines and CloudFormation.
Experience in Agile development methodologies.
