Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

A remote-first technology team is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to manage and enhance hybrid cloud environments that support large-scale enterprise systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with deep experience in infrastructure automation, cloud platform operations, and system reliability.
You'll work across DevOps, engineering, and IT operations teams to optimize performance, scalability, and observability across environments.
What You'll Do
Maintain and support production and disaster recovery environments to ensure uptime, security, and system integrity
Oversee development and staging environments used for testing and performance validation
Monitor hybrid infrastructure environments across Azure, Google Cloud, and on-prem platforms
Implement and manage observability tools including Azure Monitor, AppDynamics, GCP tools, and others
Perform OS and application upgrades and migrations across Linux and Windows systems
Support application deployment workflows using CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
Participate in on-call rotations and respond to high-priority incidents when needed
Collaborate with software and DevOps teams to improve infrastructure automation and delivery pipelines
What You Bring
5+ years of experience with cloud-based infrastructure (Azure, GCP, or Oracle)
3+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting Linux environments
2+ years with Windows system administration
Experience implementing monitoring and observability frameworks
Hands-on experience building and managing Kubernetes clusters
Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Bash, and/or Ansible
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code practices
Strong problem-solving, documentation, and collaboration skills
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
Bonus Experience
Working knowledge of CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
Experience with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ
Familiarity with load balancing technologies (e.g., F5, Azure Load Balancer)
Administration of Office365 apps including SharePoint Online or PowerBI
Exposure to browser-based debugging and network tools (e.g., Fiddler, Chrome DevTools)
