Summary
Our client is currently searching for a Senior Cloud Engineer with a strong DevSecOps background to join the team at their Fort Meade location. They are looking for someone to be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for Cloud and DevSecOps initiatives by providing objective , practical and relevant ideas, insights, and advice .
Responsibilities
Work with teams to bring continuous improvement to DevSecOps processes and tools.
Provide technical direction to team members
Mentor junior and mid-level cloud engineers
Ensure work product meets user acceptance criteria
Interface with senior level customers
Meet schedule deadlines and commitments with a high-level of quality of deliverables
Recommend and implement industry standards
Implement and ensure adherence to security practices and incorporate them into the automated pipelines
Requirements Qualification
Clearance Requirements
Active DoD Security Clearance of Secret or higher
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline
Minimum Experience
8+ years of DevSecOps experience
5+ years of experience with Azure and other Cloud environments
3+ years of experience with application and operating system security
3 years of hands-on experience creating CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Helm, Nexus
3 years’ hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) using Ansible and Terraform
3 years of experience with Kubernetes in a cloud environment
Need to utilize command line arguments
Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate strategic information topics, policies, and standards as well as risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences at various organizational levels
Preferred Skills
Certification in one or more cloud environments (Azure or AWS)
Knowledge and experience working in DoD Azure environments
Benefits Compensation and Benefit s
Pay Range: $170,000 – $200,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, qualifications, skill level, and location. The final salary offer will fall within this range and will be commensurate with the candidate’s background and the specific demands of the role.
J ob Location: On customer site (Ft. Meade, MD) with telework options. Candidates will need to be on-site at Ft Meade, MD or the Pentagon (dependent on team needs) around 3 days per week for the first few months, then that may decrease based on customer requirements.
