Senior Civil Site Development Engineer

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Focus on the delivery of civil site development projects and assist in the design, construction, and project management of a wide variety of projects involving grading design, stormwater design, erosion control design, culvert design, and pavement design, etc.
• Have hands-on involvement in the permitting process
• Have significant interaction with multi-disciplinary internal teams and external clients

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform design of projects from the conceptual and bid phase through design completion for project needs and requirements set by the project managers based on client needs
• Assist the Engineering Manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets
• Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, interface directly with the client or sub-consultants
• Support business development through writing of technical approaches, scopes of work, and presentation to clients
• Responsible for effective communication with other engineering disciplines and project team

Preferred qualifications: Licensed Professional Engineer or be in active pursuit of registration.

Minimum qualifications:

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Work environment/physical demands:

• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance, and work assignments.
• Typical office/home office environment. Physical demands: sitting, talking, grasping, hearing, keyboard input, driving, seeing, writing, reaching, stooping, crouching, walking, standing for extended periods of time. May require travel to local and regional client sites.
