Senior Civil Site Development Engineer

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Focus on the delivery of civil site development projects and assist in the design, construction, and project management of a wide variety of projects involving grading design, stormwater design, erosion control design, culvert design, and pavement design, etc.
- Have hands-on involvement in the permitting process.
- Have significant interaction with multi-disciplinary internal teams and external clients.
As part of BV Operations, your skills will be aligned to projects that support our three market sectors: Governments & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial. In roles like Engineers, Technicians, and Skilled Specialists, you will be engaged with exciting projects across the globe. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing design of projects from the conceptual and bid phase through design completion for project needs and requirements set by the project managers based on client needs.
- Assisting the Engineering Manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets.
- Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, interfacing directly with the client or sub-consultants.
- Supporting business development through writing of technical approaches, scopes of work, and presentation to clients.
- Responsible for effective communication with other engineering disciplines and project teams.
Preferred qualifications include a licensed professional engineer or being in active pursuit of registration. Minimum qualifications include:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
- Minimum of five years related work experience.
- All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Licensed professional engineer or be in active pursuit of registration preferred.
Work environment/physical demands include:
- Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on manager discretion, job performance, and work assignments.
- Typical office/home office environment.
- Physical demands: sitting, talking, grasping, hearing, keyboard input, driving, seeing, writing, reaching, stooping, crouching, walking, standing for extended periods of time. May require travel to local and regional client sites.
