Join our dynamic team as a Senior Application Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in the development and support of control systems based on project specifications and proposals. This position allows for remote work but requires residency in the CST, MST, or PST time zones. About the Role: Design and create control databases and user interfaces, setting up control systems according to specifications. Conduct field startup and system commissioning tasks. Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers and installers. Mentor team members in your areas of expertise, fostering a collaborative work environment. Create programming logic using flow diagrams and project specifications. Program control applications using various software tools for operator workstations, DDC field panels, and third-party integrations. Perform job site system checkout, commissioning, and testing to ensure proper operation. Develop system user interfaces tailored to client requirements. Deliver comprehensive user training for installed systems. Perform advanced system analysis and diagnostics, with a focus on corrective actions when necessary. Coordinate installations with contractors at job sites and ensure project milestones are met. What You'll Need: Education: A Bachelor's Degree in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering is required. Alternatively, at least two years of experience in Building Automation Controls, Sales, or Project Management. Knowledge: Proficiency in HVAC systems and control terminology, along with experience in programming tools and communication networks, particularly Tridium Niagara. Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, a professional demeanor, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to coach and develop colleagues. Core Competencies: Expert knowledge in at least three of the following areas is essential: Niagara 4 Software DGLux5 Software Distech Controls Software API Protocols BACnet Protocol Modbus Protocol Lon Protocol IT Networking Commissioning Troubleshooting Physical Requirements: The role involves standing, sitting, bending, and reaching. Strong sensory abilities are necessary for effective communication and task execution. Working Conditions: Primarily in climate-controlled environments, with some exposure to job site hazards.
