The Semiconductor Cost Engineer will be responsible for the evaluation and understanding of components prices (Front-End cost, Foundry cost, Back-End cost, Packaging cost and IP – Intellectual Properties) for Semiconductors, Microprocessors, Microchips, and Integrated Circuits.
Semiconductor Cost Engineer responsibilities will include analyzing manufacturing operations, designing workflows and production processes, understanding raw material markets and the supply base. The Semiconductor Cost Engineer will assist the worldwide teams with technical services to estimate component prices for the new technologies.
The mission:
Contribute to the Strategic Semiconductor Vision for Stellantis’s ECUs
Provide Long-term techno-economical guidance and direction for individuals and projects products
Stay one step ahead of the product development, challenge and set contacts with components manufacturing and designers
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Research relevant market trends, industrial standards, and innovations
Build and maintain techno-economical competences for Semiconductors
Build the techno-economical assessment reference for Semiconductors RFQ (Semiconductor Cost breakdown)
Build and maintain Model Plant database
Evaluate and negotiate the NRE (Non-Recurring Engineering) with Suppliers
Contribute to specification and design of future Stellantis’s Semiconductors
Work with Semiconductors Suppliers and solutions providers to influence and align their future roadmap with Stellantis to ensure the competitiveness of Stellantis Solution
