SCADA Engineer

Our client is seeking a SCADA Engineer for a short-term project based in Andover, MA, to support the SCADA Upgrade initiative. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, configuration, testing, and validation of new SCADA systems, ensuring compliance with Data Integrity (DI) and security requirements. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver a robust, compliant, and user-friendly system.
Responsibilities
Design intuitive, user-friendly SCADA screens in alignment with operational and engineering requirements
Configure all new SCADA servers, ensuring they meet all relevant cybersecurity and system hardening standards
Develop and/or update technical specifications, system documentation, and SOPs related to the SCADA system
Work closely with stakeholders to revise and align SOPs to reflect changes from the SCADA upgrade
Support DI assessments and ensure that all SCADA components fully comply with Data Integrity requirements
Participate in and support facilitated design reviews with operations and engineering teams
Assist in testing activities outside of the suites to ensure functionality, reliability, and readiness for validation
Support the validation and qualification processes to ensure the upgraded SCADA system meets regulatory and business requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or related field.
Proven experience in SCADA system design, implementation, and validation.
Familiarity with GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and other relevant regulatory standards.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices in industrial control systems.
Experience in Data Integrity assessment and remediation activities.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Background in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industries preferred.
Understanding of batch processing and manufacturing automation systems preferred.
