Description Join our dynamic team as a highly skilled SAP Network Systems Engineer, where you'll have the opportunity to design, configure, and maintain vital network systems that support critical SAP landscapes. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring optimal network performance and availability for SAP applications, working collaboratively with cross-functional IT teams to bolster business operations, uphold security compliance, and drive disaster recovery initiatives. Primary Responsibilities : Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure that supports SAP systems.
Continuously monitor network performance and implement tuning enhancements to optimize SAP application efficiency.
Swiftly troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues affecting SAP applications.
Collaborate closely with SAP Basis Administrators to ensure seamless platform integration.
Manage network access controls, routing, firewall rules, and VLAN configurations specific to SAP environments.
Uphold compliance with IT security policies while assisting in audit readiness and response strategies.
Document network configurations, topology diagrams, and operational procedures meticulously.
Deliver network support for SAP system migrations, upgrades, and patch management.
Engage in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution with cross-functional IT teams.
Basic Qualifications TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required.
Bachelor's degree in a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Proven experience providing comprehensive network engineering support, including planning, designing, and evaluating network components.
Demonstrated ability to perform network needs assessments and provide robust specifications for network architecture.
Hands-on experience in the installation, monitoring, modification, testing, and servicing of network equipment.
Exceptional troubleshooting skills with a knack for resolving complex network-related issues.
Experience managing routing and switching protocols, including BGP.
Proficient in configuring and managing networking hardware such as routers, switches, and access points.
Solid understanding of load balancers and firewall configurations necessary to optimize traffic and ensure security.
Familiarity with network management tools and techniques to enhance connectivity, security, and performance.
Comprehensive understanding of network security practices, including threat detection and mitigation.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and clients regarding project goals and technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications Strong background in network architecture design, capable of developing end-to-end infrastructure solutions.
Experience in evaluating and recommending new network technologies to enhance system capabilities.
Proven ability to develop technical solutions that require collaboration and in-depth analysis.
Independently manage high-impact projects or processes with minimal supervision.
Experience coaching or reviewing the work of junior network or technical staff.
A broad understanding of interdisciplinary technical domains outside core networking.
Active involvement in disaster recovery planning and technical audits.
Familiarity with supporting SAP environments from a networking perspective.
Experience with advanced routing protocols and load balancing strategies.
