As an SAP Basis and Security Engineer, you will collaborate with Infrastructure, Networking, and Technical teams to understand requirements and support business functions and systems. We are adopting more agile software delivery practices. You will identify and recommend technical and procedural enhancements to improve our security posture and work closely with teams across Information Security, Audit, Engineering, and Project Management. You should be adaptable, proactive, and self-motivated, especially when working with diverse, globally distributed teams across different time zones. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Your Impact Own and drive SAP Infrastructure to meet future needs, ensuring scalability and industry best practices. Participate in and lead design, engineering efficiency, and development process optimization for continuous delivery. Implement solutions to streamline processes, reduce redundancy, and improve internal customer experience. Maintenance and Support Manage end-to-end SAP landscape (S/4HANA, CPI, BTP, Datasphere, Solution Manager, etc.). Perform system installations, upgrades, patches, kernel updates, and refreshes. Monitor systems via EWA and DVM, and optimize SAP system performance. Administer transport management, backups, and client strategies. Coordinate with OS, DB, and network teams for infrastructure support. Security and Documentation Establish and enforce SAP documentation best practices. Ensure SAP role development and maintenance comply with SOX/SOD regulations, collaborating with auditors. Drive Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis and remediation. Manage user administration, role-based access, and emergency access. Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering. 5+ years of SAP BASIS & Security experience with SAP products like S/4HANA, CPI, GRC, SOLMAN, and BTP. Hands-on experience with SAP Basis activities, cloud support, upgrades, and infrastructure updates. Expertise in HANA Database Administration, including DR, Backup, Recovery, Security, and Performance. Experience in SAP security design, deployment, and audits for ECC, S/4HANA, and HANA security. Understanding of infrastructure, network operations, and escalation procedures. Proficiency with Linux and Windows OS, and networking requirements. Knowledge of compliance standards like SOX, GDPR, CCPA, PII, PCI. Automation skills for SAP Basis tasks through scripting and development approaches. Strong customer focus, results orientation, and quick decision-making skills. Availability for on-call support during weekdays and weekends. Certifications in SAP HANA administration (preferred). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, staying current with technology trends.
