About the Role Talent Depot is seeking a Safety Critical Software Engineer – Lead to join a high-impact engineering team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of safety-critical software systems. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, experience with compliance documentation, and a passion for cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities Lead the development of safety-critical software applications from concept through deployment
Use modeling tools such as Simulink or SCADE to design software and translate models into efficient C/C++ implementations
Create and manage Level of Rigor artifacts to support safety compliance
Collaborate with systems, testing, and development teams to implement and validate safety-related features
Act as a technical authority in safety-critical processes, participating in design reviews and audits
Requirements Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience in safety-critical software engineering or a related field
Proficiency with Simulink or SCADE modeling tools
Strong knowledge of safety certification standards and artifact generation
Experience collaborating across engineering disciplines
Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with ISO 26262 automotive safety standard
Understanding of MIL-STD-882E and its application in safety engineering
Experience developing solutions within ASIL-D or other high-integrity environments
