Description: Client Description: We support the US Navy and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) by conducting trade studies, design prototyping, and analysis of radars, EO/IR sensors, RF seeker systems, electronic warfare systems, and weapon systems. Our mission is to deliver advanced simulation solutions to our government customers and end-users.
Pay Rate: 90-100/hr. W2
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities: Responsibilities:
Conduct trade studies and evaluate design alternatives for RF seeker systems.
Develop seeker physical designs, signal processing loops, tracking and discrimination loops, and RF sensor concepts of operations.
Create digital representations of RF seekers for inclusion in deliverable simulations.
Understand and interpret customer requirements to support the design and development of simulation solutions.
Collaborate with a team of engineers and software developers to design and develop simulation solutions.
Demonstrate capabilities to customers and stakeholders.
Identify RF critical design points, including sensor type, antenna size, gimbal limits, slew rates, power demands, and signal processing algorithms.
Experience Requirements: Experience Requirements:
15 to 20 years of experience in RF seeker systems engineering, including physical design, signal processing design and analyses, and seeker testing.
At least 10 years of experience in the design or analysis of RF sensor systems, seekers, or electronic warfare systems.
Strong people skills and technical leadership experience.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience in RF system modeling, performance prediction, and data analysis.
Proficiency in Digital Signal Processing and/or Digital Beam Forming.
Familiarity with electronic attack and protection techniques.
Experience with radar engineering analysis, including the use of Blake charts.
Knowledge of focal plane array designs (including AESA) and analysis.
Strong skills in Matlab, Python, and C++.
Graduate-level coursework and/or hands-on project experience in radar systems and RF signal processing.
Experience with sensor hardware design, signal processing, tracking algorithms, and/or RF resource management.
Experience in sensor modeling and simulation, including algorithm and software development.
Experience in developing simulation tools and test tools for sensor analysis.
Education Requirements: Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
Additional Requirements:
Must have an active Secret clearance.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
