MetaVoice is building AI for voice conversations that feels just like talking to a human. Voice AI today cannot holdreal conversations. It requires walkie-talkie style turns, lacks empathy and has an inconsistent personality. Developers are unable to build long-form experiences out of the box. And users disengage because the interaction feels unnatural. This limits voice AIto simple receptionist tasks and basic customer support, blocking high-valueuse cases (therapy, coaching, sales) where fluid dialogue and emotional intelligence matter most.Scaling current tech will not solve this. Our solution is a duplex speech-to-speech AI for developers, designed to feel just like talking to a human. Who we are MetaVoice was founded by: Sid, founding engineer at Wayve.ai (recently raised $1Bn) Vatsal, co-created Alexa’s first deep learning voice. We’re a small mission-driven team obsessed with making voice the most natural way to interact with AI. We’re backed by top tier US and European VCs and angels including co-founder of Wayve.ai, ex-CTO of CoinBase, ex-VP of Twitter. Requirements & Experience 1+ yrs of experience in – training LLM / diffusion / flow-matching on 1B+ param models OR training SOTA speech models. Experience with post-training data curation & supervised fine-tuning of pre-trained models. Experience designing & building evaluation workflows – automated or human-in-the-loop. Comfortable building large-scale (10+ TB) pipelines for data processing. [bonus] Early-stage startup experience.
