R&D Engineer – Agricultural Components

A well-established manufacturer in the agricultural equipment sector is seeking an experienced R&D Engineer to join its growing team. Working under the guidance of the Director of R&D, this role focuses on designing, testing, and refining aftermarket components for agricultural machinery.

Key Responsibilities: Design and reverse-engineer components for agricultural equipment.

Lead product validation efforts to ensure performance and quality.

Collaborate with manufacturing to transition designs into production smoothly.

Evaluate new product opportunities and conduct feasibility reviews.

Provide technical support across departments and mentor junior team members.

Work closely with suppliers to develop and refine components.

Manage project timelines and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering.

10+ years of product design and development experience.

Strong background in castings, fabrications, and manufacturing processes.

Proficiency in SolidWorks or CREO; familiarity with 3D printing and reverse engineering tools.

Deep understanding of metallurgy, particularly carbon steels and heat treatment.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Experience: FEA tools and mechanical system analysis.

Experience with automation, tolerance stack-up, and complex assemblies.
