We are currently searching for a motivated Drainage Lead to join our clients Southeast Region in FL . The ideal candidate will develop strong working relationships with clients and staff plus maintain a high level of project standards and exceed client expectations.
Responsibility: Lead the Southeast Drainage team supporting the growth and performance of the organization Representing with clients and stakeholders, as well as industry and market environments Manage and leverage group's resources and capabilities to meet company and individual goals and objectives Have client contacts with the FDOT and Local Municipalities with the ability to market and obtain work Work closely with other service lines to support marketing and production efforts Oversees the performance of engineering deliverables associated with Drainage and roadway infrastructure improvements Leads staff to develop plans and calculations for transportation and drainage related projects Oversees the design of stormwater management facilities to meet water quality and quantity requirements Understands applicable policies, methods, practices, and procedures Oversees the design and Quality Control of roadway and drainage deliverables to various transportation departments and municipalities Hire, Retain, supervise, and mentor staff as Drainage Engineer Lead for Southeast Region Represent at conferences and other client-focused or industry-focused events and making presentations in areas of individual expertise when applicable Oversees the Prepare and present project presentations, studies, and reports Assist in developing project staffing plans and work forecasting Provide team leadership, project management and mentoring of junior-level staff
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 15+ years of drainage engineering experience post registration Manage staff in their performance in drainage design and production for transportation projects including calculations and plans preparation Prior experience as an experienced drainage engineer on civil or transportation projects Experience and ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems Must be able to communicate effectively; verbal and written PE Required Florida Licensed Professional Engineer or if registered in another state, the ability to obtain registration in the State of Florida within six months Experience in design of drainage conveyance systems and plans preparation in compliance with FDOT and other client standards Experience in Design software such as ICPR, and HEC-RAS Experience in the following software: Geopak Drainage, Geopak, Inroads, Corridor Modeling, Microstation or other equivalent CAD software Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal guidelines may differ from state-specific guidelines. Valid driver's license. A satisfactory moto vehicle report (MVR).
